Semi-Detached House at Joo Chiat, SingaporeThe house is hemmed in by a row of terraces houses along its side, and another semi-detached house at its rear. In order to visually screen off the unsightly adjacent rear yards, we recessed the 2 lower floors of the building, in so doing creating a lushly and poetically landscaped double volume side Garden Lounge through which one accesses the house interiors.
This house is designed for entertainment- A large Entertainment Room is situated at the 1st storey (ground floor), while the 2nd storey is dominated by an expansive open Kitchen Diner, Living Lounge and Outdoor BBQ Terrace.
