Project Description

Residence at Sian Tuan Avenue, Singapore

The bungalow had a 3-sided courtyard that suffered from serious overlooking issues from the side exposed to the neighbouring property. The space was also not user-friendly based on it’s pre-existing condition, it’s exposure to rain and the flooring design.

BHNA was tasked to provide a design for visual and rain screening, and to transform the courtyard space into a proper alternative dining and exterior chill-out space. A carefully studied and finely-detailed screen was designed to resolve the critical over-looking and beating rain issues. Scrupulously selected softscaping and sensitively articulated hardscaping, together with careful landscape lighting combined to create a beautiful and thoroughly enjoyable family space that has ever since its transformation been so well-loved and frequently used by the household.
