Project Description
House at Windsor Park, SingaporeThe elderly client requested that the architecture for the new house on a piece of land elevated from the street to be in a traditional pitched-roof expression. We took the design brief, studied the challenging site constraints, and developed a contemporary design language for the pitched roof dwelling. The design gestures adopted are big ones: long one-room-thick pavilions work in tandem with landscape elements like water features, lawns and paved ways that have been designed as large, simple geometric forms. There is a strong clarity is the `parti’ of the plan, and the forms designed remain faithful to the simple language that we sought to communicate.
