Project Description

Apartment at Cote D’Azur Condominium, Singapore

The interiors of the condominium unit, last renovated some 10 years ago, had become tired looking with its substantial living room timber wall paneling heavily discoloured by deep-reaching sunlight. An existing study-cum-helper’s room also had to be refitted-out to become a children’s bedroom, and much more purpose-built storage spaces required for different parts of the apartment, amongst other upgrading requirements. The primary piece of cabinetry-cum-joinery intervention was the multi-functioning wall unit designed for the living room, turning into the bedroom hallway before stretching across to the dining space. Curvilinear lines and profiles were introduced to avoid sharp corners, resulting in smooth directional transitions of vertical and horizontal surfaces, and as well a fresh aesthetic for the occupants.
